Amy Clarke Moore at Interweave set up an extra excursion to the
Home Textile Tool Museum for those attending SOAR, on our day off.

The Home Textile Tool Museum is located in Orwell PA and is well worth a side trip if you're in the area. The museum is housed in the late Bill and Vicky Ralph's house and several outbuildings and a barn on their property and is filled with spinning and weaving items.

The Ralph's originally made money by tapping their maples and selling the syrup, but when Vicky asked Bill to repair some fiber equipment for her, a passion was born. After years of collecting, restoring and loving antique textile tools, Bill and Vicky Ralph turned their collection into a Museum in 1998.

Stop by and see these treasures if you're in the neighborhood, you won't be sorry you did!
